The Pippa donkey

Pippa is a donkey and, with his master, he goes back and forth to Santiago de Compostela in order to raise funds for the Foundation.
Introduction
I left my home in the Wavre region in Belgium on 2 March 2024 to walk for 6 months. The objective is to walk to Santiago de Compostela and back. To do this I am not alone, but accompanied by my donkey Pippa with whom I usually go on short hikes. In fact, she is the one who tells our adventures on our Instagram account.
To give this adventure an additional dimension we decided to launch this fundraiser.

Narrative
Since the beginning of this incredible journey, which takes us from the Wavre region in Belgium to St Jacques and back, some have asked us how to show their support for our project. Arriving in Saint-Jacques on June 25, we can tell you: we decided to support research for multiple sclerosis. To date, multiple sclerosis is still an incurable disease. Medical research is therefore still necessary and indispensable to make the disease manageable. By supporting the Charcot Foundation, we can fund hours of research that allows us to better understand and treat multiple sclerosis.
So far we have walked 110 days, at an average of 5-6 hours, to reach Santiago de Compostela.
Let's say that each hour of walking corresponds to 1 hour of research and each day of walking corresponds to one day of research. So you can imagine that if we arrived in Santiago de Compostela, researchers could also advance on the path that will lead to the cure of multiple sclerosis... What an impact for all those affected by this diagnosis!
The Charcot Foundation centralizes donations for research into multiple sclerosis in Belgium. On the Charcot Foundation website, we have created the project “Les Chemins de Pippa” which allows us to collect your support and contributions. This will give an additional dimension to this incredible adventure that we have been living on a daily basis since March 2!
Each day of research costs up to €250, every small step counts to reach the goal, every small contribution will also help with this goal.
Pippa, I and everyone affected by this disease are so grateful to you!
