Each year, research teams therefore turn to the Belgian Charcot Foundation. A few figures illustrate what a donation means.

Prof. T. Vanmierlo works on the brain's favourite fat: myelin. In this video, he explains how he wants to strengthen the existing protection system against stress and thus give brain cells the possibility to repair myelin. In 2022, the doctoral fellowship programme for young researchers, Charcot Fellowship, will be renamed Charcot PhD Fellowship. The call for candidates for this 4-year fellowship (worth 200,000) will be launched in February.
