Pushing Research Forward: Words from Our New President

It is with great emotion, determination, and gratitude that I address you today as the new President of the Charcot Foundation. Since the beginning of my career, multiple sclerosis has always been at the heart of both my clinical and scientific work. Over the years, I have had the privilege of building an internationally recognized research team dedicated to precision medicine in the service of patients.

Before discussing the future, I would like to pay tribute—with respect and gratitude—to the outstanding work of Professor Emeritus Christian Sindic, who led the Foundation over the past decade. On behalf of the board members—past and present—of the researchers who have benefited from the Foundation’s support and of the patients who are at the core of our mission, we thank him for his commitment, intellectual rigor, and inspiring leadership.

Today, new challenges lie ahead. I will ensure that the Foundation continues to play a leading role in research against multiple sclerosis.

We will soon launch a new digital knowledge center to inform the public and healthcare professionals better. This project was born out of a fruitful collaboration with Professor Emeritus Christian Sindic, based on his precise and comprehensive documentation work — a true handover in the service of accessible and accurate information about multiple sclerosis.

Finally, we will also expand our presence on social media to share reliable scientific information more widely.

I am proud to continue building on the work already accomplished through the Charcot Fund, which remains a cornerstone in the sustainable support of research aimed at defeating multiple sclerosis.

This long-term support would not be possible without the loyal and generous commitment of our donors. Thanks to you, research moves forward, hope grows, and patients benefit from the progress you make possible.

Together, we will continue to expand our knowledge and improve the lives of people affected by this disease.
